[We] must uphold Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the guide, and continuously boost the “Four Consciousnesses,” reinforce the “Four Matters of Confidence,” and fulfill the “Two Upholds.” [We must] increase political judgment, political comprehension, and political execution, and profoundly grasp the laws of financial work, deepen understanding of the political and people-oriented nature of financial work, and unswervingly follow the path of financial development with Chinese characteristics. [We] must uphold and strengthen Party leadership over financial work, prevent and defuse financial risks, deepen reform and innovation, and, with vehement resolve and see-it-to-the-end tenacity, continuously press into effect the responsibilities of entities involved in rectification, and supervision duties. In terms of politics, ideology, organization, work style, and discipline, [we must] comprehensively strengthen the strict atmosphere, press the Party committees (Party groups) of financial units to fully implement rectification, and establish a normalized long-term mechanism, integrating inspection and rectification into daily work, into the deepening of reform, into comprehensive strict Party self-governance, and into team building, thus providing staunch political guarantees for the healthy development of the financial industry.

Xinhua News Agency (Beijing), June 17 – The CCP Politburo convened a meeting on June 17 to review the Report on the Situation Regarding Progress in the Rectification of Financial Units in the Eighth Round of Inspections of the 19th Central Committee. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CCP Central Committee, chaired the meeting.

The meeting held that the CCP Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has been attaching great importance to inspection work and regards inspection as a strategic institutional arrangement for promoting the Party’s self-revolution and comprehensive strict Party self-governance. Inspection work has revolved around the central [task] and served the big picture, treated the “Two Upholds” as the fundamental task, focused on functional responsibilities and strengthening political supervision, and persisted in discovering problems, forming deterrence, driving reform, and promoting development, giving play to a blade-like role in anti-corruption.
会议认为，以习近平同志为核心的党中央高度重视巡视工作，把巡视作为推进党的自我革命、全面从严治党的战略性制度安排。巡视工作围绕中心、服务大局，把“两个维护”作为根本任务，聚焦职能责任强化政治监督，坚持发现问题、形成震慑、推动改革、促进发展，发挥了反腐利剑作用。
The meeting pointed out that the CCP Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has been treating inspection and rectification as an important measure for promoting the reform and development of the financial industry, and has put forward a series of important instructions, pointed out the direction forward and provided fundamental rules to comply with for rectification work, driving the achievement of results at this phase in inspection and rectification. The Party committees (Party groups) of financial units are chiefly responsible for rectification, and have grasped implementation well referring to feedback from the inspection, some prominent problems and hidden dangers have been resolved, and the building of leadership teams, cadre ranks, and primary Party organizations has been strengthened. Disciplinary inspection and supervision organs and organizational departments have strengthened rectification supervision, carried out special-task measures for prominent problems, and solemnly investigated and dealt with a batch of violations of discipline and law. Relevant functional departments have made good use of inspection results, improved their systems and mechanisms, and strengthened industry supervision.
会议指出，以习近平同志为核心的党中央把抓巡视整改作为推动金融业改革发展的重要举措，作出一系列重要指示，为整改工作指明了方向、提供了根本遵循，推动巡视整改取得阶段性成效。金融单位党委（党组）履行整改主体责任，对照巡视反馈意见抓好落实，一些突出问题和风险隐患得到化解，领导班子、干部队伍和基层党组织建设得到加强。纪检监察机关、组织部门加强整改监督，对突出问题开展专项治理，严肃查处一批违纪违法问题。有关职能部门用好巡视成果，完善制度机制，加强行业监管。
